Ahead of the 2023 NAB Show, Adobe has announced significant innovations across its family of video applications, including AI-powered text-based video editing and automated color tone-mapping capabilities in Premiere Pro. The latest GPU acceleration and workflow enhancements make this the fastest version of Premiere Pro ever released. Additionally, Adobe is celebrating 30 years of After Effects, the world’s leading motion design software for video professionals, by adding a context-sensitive Properties Panel, consistent color support, and performance optimizations.
Adobe’s latest innovations aim to address the workflow needs of today’s professional editors and motion designers by automating time-consuming tasks, allowing creative professionals to spend more time shaping the stories they want to tell. Adobe is also expanding Frame.io’s industry-leading video collaboration platform to include photography and PDF documents.
Ashley Still, Senior Vice President of Creative Product Group and Digital Media Growth at Adobe, stated that the latest innovations in Premiere Pro and After Effects are designed to empower creative professionals to focus on creating content while reducing time-consuming tasks.
Key updates to Premiere Pro include groundbreaking Text-Based Editing, which makes editing video as simple as copying and pasting text. Automatic Tone Mapping and Log Color Detection allow editors to achieve consistent colors and contrast when mixing footage from different cameras. Premiere Pro now also features significant under-the-hood improvements, making it the fastest version ever shipped.
New innovations in After Effects include the Properties Panel, which offers quick and easy access to important animation settings, and ACES and OpenColorIO, which maintain consistent colors when sharing assets with other post-production apps.
Adobe is launching a new Adobe Video Partner Program that provides a holistic, end-to-end approach across all Adobe video tools, offering access to exclusive benefits, resources, and solutions designed to help grow and develop partner businesses. Over 400 global partners are now delivering solutions for Adobe customers.
